I used this tent across 169 miles on the Mojave road and throughout Death Valley and it has been great. I haven’t tried the LED twinkle lights yet but I’m sure they will be a nice touch.

Also, the air flow, multiple windows and skylight are a delight. I am in my early 50’s and appreciated the firm mattress. Once I got everything secured, I went for an overnight and it was absolutely lovely! It’s like a mobile tree house, floating in the clouds. Customer service responded quickly and I figured it out after our call. It is finicky and you have to get used to it! Make sure and extend it ALL the way before adjusting the top rungs. Another immediate challenge was the telescoping ladder. I wish that I had been warned about this before my tent arrived and I even sent photos to customer service and they didn’t say anything either. We used duct tape and a stick to keep the bracket up against the Condor’s mounting plate and used the supplied ratchet. This was due to the tight distance between the roof of the car and the mounting brackets. I timed myself at about 16 minutes with the awning poles, rain fly, etc.īecause of the factory roof rack on my 2006 Hyundai Tucson, it took 3 hours to secure the hardware to the rack. Furthermore, taking down the tent is slower as a solo camper than it is when you have a second person to help tuck the fabric along the edges. Not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice for someone to address height issues. something that was not stated in any materials that I read.

Also, I am 5’4″ and I will need to use a stool to open and close my tent. RoofNest needs to hire women!! Are there any? Every single person I talked with throughout my buying process was a man.
